BAPTIST CHURCH
OUR MISSION.
-
We believe in prayer.
-
God the Father honoring, God the Son exalting, Holy Ghost led ministry.
-
Bible [King James Bible] based ministry.
-
Bible preaching and teaching ministry.
-
Family oriented ministry (seminars, retreats, S.S. classes of all ages).
-
Missionary minded ministry.
-
Evangelistic ministry (revival meetings, visitation, soul winning etc.).
-
Community focused ministry.
-
Fundamental, historical, traditional, independent, Baptist ministry.
-
Humbled, love tempered, truth proclaiming, principled people with a Biblical worldview.
We shall strive to win the lost to Christ through personal witness, preaching God's Word, and exercising our faith while keeping a positive attitude and to continue the development of a closer relationship with God and one another by the leadership of God's Spirit.
We operate with the following emphasis:
-
Our music’s purpose is to be God-honoring, Biblically oriented, enthusiastic and inspirational music in lyrics and construct [we do not believe music is amoral].
-
Our children and teens are taught “right from wrong” and “truth from error” from an infallible Bible [KJV] the Word of God.
-
Our preaching emphasizes Salvation by Grace alone; through Faith alone; in the Person and Finished Work of God’s Dear Son, the Lord Jesus Christ alone.
-
We preach that His Virgin Birth, Sinless Life, Vicarious Substitutionary Death on Calvary Cross along with his burial and Glorious Bodily Resurrection alone comprise the Gospel of the Grace of God which alone is able to save.
-
We preach that the Lord Jesus Christ alone is the only Way to an eternal Heaven.
-
Access to the Lord Jesus Christ is by Grace through Faith in obedience to His Gospel.
-
We preach a sin that is "black", a life that is short, a death that is sure, a judgment that is certain, an eternity that is long and a Hell that is hot and a Heaven that is real.
-
We believe that WHOSOEVER WILL may come by faith and repentance [two sides of the same "coin" and be “born again,” becoming a child of God.
OUR PURPOSE
At Open Door Baptist Church, we seek to provide an atmosphere of teaching, preaching and worship that will point each one to Christ, that each one who worships with us will let God's Spirit lead them into a strong personal relationship with Christ.
WE BELIEVE

The infallible and plenary verbal inspiration of the Scripture, II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21;
-
The preservation of inspiration in the Authorized Version 1611 commonly known as the King James Version Psalm 12:6-7;
-
The Biblical account of creation - Genesis 1; 2;
-
Sin is part of the nature of man since the Fall of Man in Genesis 3;In Adam all die. All have sinned and death (eternal separation from God in hell is the penalty for unbelief in God's grace and salvation.)
-
The personality of Satan - John 8:44;
-
Hereditary and total depravity of man in his natural state involving his fall in Adam; Romans 3:10-20; I Corinthians 2:14; I Corinthians 15:21-22;
-
The virgin birth and deity of Jesus Christ; Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:26-35
-
Christ's blood atonement for fallen man. We believe that Christ died for the sin of the whole world - John 1:29, I Timothy 2:4-6; Hebrews 2:9, and that through His blood, atonement for sin is made without respect of persons. Anyone who will exercise repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 20:21 - will be saved. Although all men can be saved, some will reject God's redemption by exercising their free will - Romans 10:13
-
His bodily resurrection and ascension back to His Father - Acts 1:9-11; I Corinthians 15
-
The person and work of the Holy Spirit - John 16:16-17
-
Justification before God by faith without any admixture of works. All such persons are in the family of God - Romans 3:24-31; Romans 4:1-8; Romans 5:1-10; Galatians 2:16
-
Separation of God's children from the world - Romans 12:1-2; II Corinthians 6:14-18
-
Water baptism (immersion) to be administered to believers only and by Divine authority as given to missionary Baptist churches- Matthew 28:20-21; Acts 2:41; 8:12; 8:35-39; 10:47-48; 16:33; 19:5
-

-
Eternal security of the believer - John 3:16; 5:24; 6:37; 10:27-30; 14:16; Romans 8:1, 28-39
-
The establishment of a visible church by Christ Himself during His personal ministry on earth;and His churches are not now, nor have they ever been, universal or invisible.
-
Worldwide missions according to the Great Commission which Christ gave His church - Matthew 28:19-20
-
The perpetuity of missionary Baptist churches from Christ's day on earth until His second coming- Matthew 16:18
-
The separation of the Lord's church from all so-called churches or church alliances which advocate, practice, or uphold heresies and other human innovations which are not in harmony with the Word of God. Open communion, alien baptism, pulpit affiliation with heretical churches, modernism, modern tongue movement, and all kindred evils arising from these practices are unscriptural.
-
The only valid baptism is that administered by the authority of a Scriptural missionary Baptist church. Any so-called Baptist church, which knowingly receives alien baptism habitually practices this or other evils as those listed in statement 20 cannot be a Scriptural Baptist church, nor can its ordinances remain valid.

The bodily resurrection of the dead - I Corinthians 15:42-58
-
The reality of Heaven, involving Divine assurance of eternal happiness for the redeemed of God - John 14:1-6; Revelation 20-22

The reality of Hell, involving everlasting punishment of the incorrigible wicked - Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 20:11-15
-
The absolute separation of church and state - Romans 1
We believe in the pre-millennial return of Christ to earth, after which He shall literally reign in peace upon the earth for a thousand years (Revelation 20:4-6). We believe the Bible to teach two resurrections: the first of the righteous at Christ's coming, the second of the wicked dead at the close of the thousand year reign. (I Thessalonians 4:13-17, Revelation 20: 12-15.)
